In a groundbreaking collaboration between Pernod Ricard and Digital Spirits, we embarked on a journey merging the evocative essence of The Last of Us franchise with the rich heritage of aged Scotch whisky, resulting in the creation of Moth & Wolf—a Blended Scotch Whisky that embodies the union of immersive storytelling and world-class craftsmanship.
As the Creative and Art Director representing Naughty Dog in the collaboration, I led the development of our visual identity alongside Chivas Brothers/Pernod. Collaborating closely, the Pernod team shared invaluable expertise, guiding us through best practices and process approaches. Together, we crafted marque artwork and meticulously managed product photography, ensuring these elements resonated with the profound essence and depth captured within every sip of Moth & Wolf.
For the blend, Pernod was able to have a vintage distilled the same year as the outbreak happens within the game, 2013, a creative and unique easter egg for the consumer to cherish. This was then balanced with a duality of smoke and ember with delicate grain and oka barrels inspired by the dual story from the game, the harsh Pacific Northwest vs the warmth of Jackson,Wyoming

A Private whisky tasting for Super fans and Press
To unveil this exceptional blend, Pernod, PlayStation, and I orchestrated a private tasting event in Seattle, the game's backdrop. As part of the event planning, we meticulously selected a venue, Quinn’s Pub, ensuring the right ambiance and décor. The highlight of the evening was a surprise private concert featuring Troy Baker, the game's main actor, as a special thank you to our fans and Press, adding an unforgettable touch to the celebration.
Working on this project allowed me to revisit my bartending skills, collaborating creatively with Pernod's Master Mixologist to craft distinctive cocktails. These drinks showcased a blend of unique ingredients alongside readily available ones. Among them, my personal favorite is the Washington Apple Pie Cocktail—though, that recipe remains a secret.
